Steve Barranco has been surrounded by cancer his whole professional life: an uncle survived breast cancer as well as did several close friends. He has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting, and has been a leader in several different areas of the profession: in hospitals, physicians practices, and other healthcare companies. In addition, he has provided assurance and tax services to individuals and small businesses, while being president of the Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Barranco received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Auburn University. As time passed he became President of the Certified Public Accountants Educational Foundation, a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accounts, and in 2009 was chosen as Auburn University School of Accountancy’s Outstanding Alumnus.

As an active member of the community Barranco is involved with a wide variety of projects. He participates in Boy Scouting, in the Montgomery Area Food Bank, in Medical Outreach Ministries and in the Montgomery Area Chamber of Commerce. Steve and his lovely wife, Dawn, have three children. When not busy at work he enjoys hunting and fishing with his kids.
