Maurice Rollins

Maurice Rollins was born and raised in Montgomery. He attended Brewbaker Elementary and Georgia Washington Junior High and was a football standout at Jefferson Davis High School. After graduating, he lettered in football at Kemper Military College and Langston University.
An Army Reservist from 1992-1998, Rollins graduated with honors from Kemper Military Academy and has a bachelor’s degree in Resource Management as well as a master’s degrees in Business Administration and Lean Six Sigma.
Rollins currently works as a program manager for the DoD/Air Force. His program leads and trains team Air Force medical users and works with multiple Air Force and Joint agencies along with end users to improve existing systems, identify new requirements and modernize the entire portfolio of Air Force medical deployed systems.
Before working with the Air Force, Rollins was a senior finance and data analyst for a health care system. His previous experience includes working as a healthcare consultant manager for Alabama Primary Health Care Association, where he was responsible for improving financial, operational and clinical polices for more than 130 community health centers in Alabama. Additionally, Rollins has worked as a senior-level project manager in PMC (paper machine clothing), aeronautics and aviation. He has also supervised engineering projects for Boeing, Pratt Whitney, Dowdy, Procter & Gamble and others, which resulted in an over $50 million cost savings around the world implementing Lean Six Sigma principles.
In 2010 and 2014, Rollins was a Democratic nominee for the Alabama House of Representatives.
As an active member in the community, Rollins has served as the president of his neighborhood Home Owners Association, Board of Directors for the Montgomery Sunrise Rotary Club, board member for Leadership Montgomery, a Partner in Education Mentor and the Youth Leader at New Home Baptist Church where he is an active member and deacon. The Junior League of Montgomery recognized Rollins’ service in 2012 by presenting him with their Exemplary Commitment to Volunteerism Award. A member Omega Psi Phi, he also serves on the Fame Board for Booker T. Washington Magnet School.
He is happily married to Georgia Rollins with two sons and two wonderful pets.
