A native of Montgomery, Eddie Welch graduated from Jeff Davis high school. After high school, he attended the University of Alabama, where he earned a degree in Corporate Finance.

After graduating college, Eddie returned to the River Region. He is the co-founder of Welch-Hornsby, Inc. Prior to co-founding Welch-Hornby in 1988, he served as an account executive at Morgan Keegan & Company in Montgomery. Eddie currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors as well as other leadership roles with The Gift of Life Foundation, chairman of the BCS Endowment for Women and Children, serves on the board of the Family Sunshine Center, Chairman of the Board of Valiant Cross Academy, Board of Directors with the Chamber of Commerce and has spent over 20 years coaching youth baseball in the River Region.

“It is an honor to be involved in some small way to forward the awareness campaign and ultimately cure this awful disease.”

Eddie’s family was affected by cancer. His mother was a breast cancer survivor that ultimately succumbed to Multiple Myloma.

Eddie and his wife, Kathy, have two daughters and two granddaughters.
