His practice includes all areas of radiology including mammography, MRI, CT, and PET/CT. “I take great pride in aiding the early diagnosis of cancer with mammography and monitoring cancer treatment on follow up exams. My group covers approximately 20 hospitals in Central Alabama including Baptist Medical Center and Carmichael Imaging Center.”
No stranger to cancer, his mother, Maxine Irby Johnston, was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2003. “She fought courageously before losing her battle in 2004 at the age of 51. Her death had a significant impact on my decision to become a radiologist. I am a proponent of early screening with mammography.”
